OZ5ESB / 5Q1A - The amateurradio station. |
A description of the equipment and the technique, we are using on the amateurradio station OZ5ESB / 5Q1A.
|
On 435Mhz
(70cm) - 145Mhz (2m) the station is a YAESU
FT 847 all mode transceiver On 50Mhz (6m) the station is also a YAESU FT847 all mode transceiver. The 1000 W. PA-stage on 50Mhz is homemade by OZ1DPR - and another PA-stage for 144Mhz is under construction.
On HF the station is a YAESU FT 1000MP Mrk.V with all accessories installed, incl. a DVS-2 Digital Voice Recorder and a Heil Promicro-4 headset. The HF PA-stage is a Alpha 99 - delivering 1000 Watts output.
To help the contest logging we use a PC with the logging software CT (for HF) and SDV (for VHF). And a second PC is used for DX cluster. Both are connected to the Internet.

(Click on the antenna picture above - to see the assembling of the system).
The antennas are mounted in a tower 23 metres high with an additional 4 metres high top mast.
Top mounted, 27 metres above the ground, is placed an 8 element Yagi for 145 Mhz. with a boom lenght of 4,4 metres.
25,5 metres above the ground is placed an 8 element Yagi for 50/28 Mhz. This antenna is constructed as a dual band antenna with full sized elements matched to each band - 5 elements for 50 Mhz. and 3 elements for 28 Mhz. with a boom lenght of 5,6 metres and with gamma matching for each band.
24,5 meteres above the ground is placed a 18 element yagi (M2) for 435 Mhz.
23 metres above the ground is placed a 6 element Yagi for 21/14 Mhz. This antenna is also constructed as a dual band antenna with full sized elements matched to each band - 3 elements for 21 Mhz. and 3 elements for 14 Mhz. with a boom lenght of 6,5 metres and with gamma matching for each band.
And 10 meteres above the ground there is placed a ½ wave vertical antenna for 50Mhz.
All the Yagies are rotated by a YAESU G 2800 SDX rotator.
From a point, 20 metres above the ground, there are fastened 3 dipoles for 7 - 3,7 and 1,8Mhz.
The entire antenna system is constructed by OZ1INN. |
